How a Psychiatry Practice Increased Online Appointment Bookings by 20%
- 37% faster load
- 20% more appointment bookings
- 15% organic traffic increase
The Problem
Someone searching for a psychiatrist needs to find credentials, accepted insurance, and appointment information without delay. KC Psychiatrist’s old website made each task difficult on a phone.
KC Psychiatrist’s existing site was:
- Slow, averaging 4.8 seconds load time on mobile
- Buried appointment booking path
- Missing key trust signals (credentials, insurance accepted, approach to care)
- Not ranking for local search terms
What We Built
Practice credentials. We led with the doctor’s experience and areas of specialization. The design used practice information in place of generic medical imagery.
Appointment flow. We put the booking action in the header and repeated it at decision points on the homepage.
Insurance and services. Patients can review accepted insurance and treatment areas near the top of the page.
Faster mobile pages. The mobile load time fell from 4.8 seconds to 3.0 seconds, a 37% improvement.
Local service information. Service pages answer common questions from people searching for a psychiatrist, mental-health treatment, or ADHD care in the practice area.
The Results
| Metric | Before | After | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Organic traffic | Baseline | +15% | ↑ 15% |
| Online appointment bookings | Baseline | +20% | ↑ 20% |
| Mobile load time | 4.8s | 3.0s | ↓ 37% |
Measured over 60 days post-launch.
Why It Worked
Patients could confirm the clinician’s fit before choosing a next step. Each service page then directed them to booking or phone contact.
